Marbles

This tip for success is commonly known as playing marbles.

Every day, put 10 marbles in your left pocket. Every time you speak to someone about the business, give out information or a business card, transfer a marble from your left pocket to your right pocket.

Don't go home until you've transferred all the marbles into your right pocket!

Exposing 10 people a day to the business is a fantastic target and if you do that, you can't fail.

As an alternative, always start the day with 10 business cards and endeavour to give them all away before the end of the day.

Having a definite daily target will ensure rapid growth for your business.

Your Contact List

You cannot be successful in this business without a list.

The physical form of your list doesn't matter and you may have more than one list in different forms.

The Welcome to Success manual has a section on building your list - make sure you check that out.

Many people are nervous about contacting friends and family - if that includes you, don't let it stop you adding everyone to your list anyway. You'll learn ways to contact them later.

Everytime you think of a name that's not on your list, add them. Without fail - do not pre-judge anyone. Don't waste mental energy by not adding someone, otherwise everytime you think of them, you'll be aware they're not on your list. Add them anyway, worry about how and whether you'll contact them later.

Your DMO needs to include methods for adding to your list(s) and some time to contact and keep in touch with people on your list - this is your pipeline.

There is a saying in MLM: The money is in the list - how true that is.
